PUGLUE’s aluminum-honeycomb adhesive is a two-component, solvent-free polyurethane (A : B = 5 : 1) with no benzene or formaldehyde. It bonds the aluminum honeycomb core to calcium-silicate board, aluminum / steel sheet and marble / granite with ≥6 MPa metal-to-metal strength (on board the substrate fails first). Thixotropic and non-foaming, it cures at room temperature under press — or in 20 min at 80°C — with excellent water, cold and weather resistance.

How to mix & apply

Mixing & Application

A two-component 5:1 system for aluminum honeycomb lamination.

Clean the surface

Remove oil, dust, rust and water from the core and skin surfaces (stir settled component A first).

Mix A : B = 5 : 1

Weigh A and B at 5:1, stir with a power mixer until uniform, and pour immediately.

Scrape-coat ~300 g/m²

Apply single-side with a serrated scraper at about 300 g/m² (small batches for roller use).

Press & cure

Composite, stack and press; cure at room temperature, or 20 min at 80°C. Use within the ≤15 min pot life.

What adhesive bonds aluminum honeycomb panels?

A two-component, solvent-free polyurethane (A : B = 5 : 1). It bonds aluminum honeycomb cores to calcium-silicate board, aluminum / steel sheet and marble / granite, with ≥6 MPa metal-to-metal strength and a non-foaming glue line.

What is the mixing ratio and pot life?

Mix A : B = 5 : 1 by weight with a power mixer and pour immediately. The mixed adhesive has a pot life of about 15 minutes at room temperature, so mix only what you can apply in time.

How is it cured?

Composite and press, then cure at room temperature — or accelerate to 20 minutes at 80°C. Keep parts under press until cured.

Is it solvent-free and low-emission?

Yes — it is ≥99% solids with no benzene or formaldehyde, and complies with the low-flame-spread test procedure.

How much adhesive do I need (coating weight)?

About 300 g/m² single-side, to maximize contact with the honeycomb edges.

Does it foam or attack foam cores?

No — it is non-foaming and does not dissolve polystyrene foam.
