PU Binder for Resin-Bound Permeable Paving
Polyurethane binder (PU-50C) for resin-bound permeable “stone glue” paving — mix with decorative aggregate and trowel to a porous, draining, eco-friendly surface for sidewalks, cycle paths, landscapes and plazas.
A binder built for permeable stone paving
PUGLUE PU-50C is a two-component polyurethane binder (A : B = 2 : 1) made for resin-bound permeable paving. It coats decorative aggregate evenly with high adhesion and bond strength, cures at room temperature to an insoluble, non-melting film, and resists strong impact without cracking the surface. The finished paving is permeable — it drains rainwater, recharges groundwater, reduces glare, absorbs noise and dust, and helps cool the urban heat-island. Tensile strength ≥15 MPa, tear strength ≥50 N/mm, hardness 70±3 Shore D, with water and cold resistance.

Why Resin-Bound Permeable Paving

Permeable Paving Binders — and Which to Choose
Resin-bound paving uses several binders. PUGLUE’s two-component PU-50C is the choice for strong, durable, permeable aggregate surfaces.
| Binder type | Components | Best for | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Two-component PU (PU-50C) | A + B, 2:1 | Resin-bound permeable stone paving | High bond, ≥15 MPa tensile, impact-resistant, room-temp cure. PUGLUE core product. |
| 1K moisture-cure PU | Single-component | DIY / small resin-bound jobs | Simpler but cure depends on humidity; lower control on large areas. |
| Epoxy | A + B | Bonded (non-permeable) resin pavements | Yellows under UV; more rigid and less impact-tolerant outdoors. |
| PU-50M (broadcast) | A + B | Colored anti-slip pavement | For broadcast-aggregate anti-slip surfacing — see colored anti-slip pavement. |
Where PUGLUE Permeable Paving Binder Is Used
From municipal sidewalks to garden landscapes, PU-50C binds decorative aggregate into durable permeable surfaces.

Sidewalks & Footpaths
Municipal pedestrian walkways with a smooth, draining, comfortable surface.

Cycle & Greenway Paths
Permeable bicycle and greenway paths through parks and communities.

Landscape & Garden Paths
Decorative resin-bound stone paths for gardens, resorts and scenic areas.

City Plazas & Squares
Durable, permeable decorative paving for public squares and plazas.

Driveways & Courtyards
Resin-bound aggregate driveways and courtyards with a clean, even finish.

Tree Pits & Permeable Zones
Porous surrounds for tree pits and rainwater-permeable urban zones.
Engineered Performance
Strong, permeable and weatherproof — the profile resin-bound paving requires.
High strength
Tensile strength ≥15 MPa and tear strength ≥50 N/mm; hardness 70±3 Shore D.
Impact resistant
Withstands strong impact without cracking the paving; cured film is insoluble and non-melting.
Permeable & eco
Open-pore surface drains water, recharges groundwater and cools the urban heat-island.
Water & cold resistant
Cures at room temperature; resists water and cold for long outdoor service.
How to Lay Resin-Bound Paving
A two-component 2:1 trowel-applied system.
Prepare the base
Clean the base free of oil and dust and repair any damaged areas. Do not apply on a damp surface.
Mix A : B = 2 : 1
Mix the binder at A : B = 2 : 1 by weight (not by volume) until uniform, then blend with the aggregate.
Spread & compact
Trowel the resin-bound aggregate level and compact it evenly.
Cure
Initial cure in ~3 h, full cure ~24 h. Do not add thinner.

Frequently Asked Questions
Resin-bound permeable paving binder (PU-50C) — technical answers.
What binder is used for resin-bound permeable paving?
A two-component polyurethane binder — PUGLUE PU-50C (A : B = 2 : 1). It coats decorative aggregate, is troweled level and compacted, and cures to a strong, permeable surface.
What is the mixing ratio?
A : B = 2 : 1 by weight (not by volume). Mix until uniform, then blend with the aggregate and lay within the pot life.
How strong and hard is the cured paving?
Tensile strength ≥15 MPa, tear strength ≥50 N/mm and hardness 70±3 Shore D — it withstands strong impact without cracking.
Is the paving really permeable?
Yes — the open-pore resin-bound structure drains rainwater, recharges groundwater and soil, absorbs noise and dust, and helps cool the urban heat-island.
What is the pot life and cure time?
Pot life is ≥15 minutes (per 100 g); initial cure in about 3 hours and full cure about 24 hours at room temperature.
How do I apply it?
Clean and repair the base, mix A : B = 2 : 1, blend with aggregate, trowel level and compact, then let cure. Do not apply on damp surfaces or add thinner.
What is the packaging?
Component A in 14 kg iron drums and component B in 7 kg plastic drums (a 2:1 set). Store at ambient temperature, away from sunlight.
How is it different from colored anti-slip pavement?
This PU-50C is for resin-bound permeable paving (aggregate mixed and troweled). For broadcast-aggregate colored anti-slip surfacing use PU-50M — see our colored anti-slip pavement page.
Do you offer samples, TDS, MOQ and OEM?
Yes. We provide a full TDS, free samples, and OEM / private-label supply with manufacturer-friendly MOQs. Contact us for a quote.
